Terms and Conditions of Engagement
Terms and conditions of engagement are based on the guide prepared by the Design Institute of Australia, available for perusal upon request.
Fees are calculated on a time charge plus expenses incurred basis. The current rate is $60.00 per hour for design and $45.00 per hour for administration. Where a lump sum is negotiated, that figure shall be charged, except if there is a change to the nature of the brief or the duration of the project.
A handling fee of 10% is charged on all printing and reproduction services.
Payment shall be made within 30 days of date of invoice (usually issued at the end of each month and/or at the end of each stage of the project). Interest at 10% per annum may be charged on all overdue accounts.
The ownership of copyright in all designs remains with the designer unless otherwise agreed or as provided for in the Australian Copyright Act.
